Mission Coalition On RFC

At the head of this post you will find RFC 144, "Mission Coalition Shirt."  This special episode of the show is devoted to this weekend's big metal fest, to be held at The Sound Factory this weekend, September 9 and 10. You may remember that we wrote extensively about this show in the PopCulteer a couple of weeks ago.

On this edition of RFC you will find music videos by the Friday and Saturday night headliners, Karma To Burn and The Suede Brothers, plus a great video from Tomorrow Burns, and live performances from HarraH and The Scrap Iron Pickers.

Mission Coalition, Charleston's first two-day metal fest will hold their first sonic onslaught with twelve bands spread over two nights. You will hear major acts like Karma to Brun and The Suede Brothers, plus local legends The Scrap Iron Pickers, Linework, HarraH, Saprogen, Tower of the Elephant, John Lancaster, Tomorrow Burns, The Number Six, Deadface Down and Nuns on Fire. Each night the show will start at 7:30 and last until well into the wee hours.

This week's RFC gives you a small taste of the metal that awaits you, starting off with the music video for "Waiting On The Western World" by Saturday night's headliners, Karma To Burn. These legends of the Charleston metal scene have gone on to world-wide fame, and they're reaching new peaks.  It will be a kick to see them back in the Capitol City.

Friday night, Mission Coalition gets off to a hot start with HarraH, Who will have their debut CD, "First Strike" on sale at Mission Coaliton. Here they are recorded earlier this summer at Coonskin Park with "Patton"s Blues."

One of Saturday night's bands is Tomorrow Burns. This Charleston-based five-piece rips into this stage Saturday night around 10:30.

We are happy to present their video for the song "No Sale," recorded at 101 Studios.

Friday Night's headliner for Mission Coalition is The Suede Brothers. Coming to us from Cleveland, this trio is one of the top bands in the region. They're closing the show the first night of Mission Coalition with their rust-belt rock. The Suede Brothers bring us a video for their song  "Coos Bay Boogie."

Playing us out are The Scrap Iron Pickers, recorded at The Empty Glass earlier this year during the Dave Russell Memorial show.

I hope to see tons of you guys filling up The Sound Factory this weekend. Advance tickets to the show are 12 dollars per night, available from the bands on the bill or from The Sound Factory, Cats Back Records in Nitro, or Third Eye Tattoo in Winfield. A package deal that gets you into both shows is twenty bucks, exclusively available here at The Sound Factory.
